This is my first post. Its a loose watercolor sketch I did a year or two ago. I'll try to post some more polished current work soon.

I realize there's not too much to be said about the sketch as that's pretty much just what it is. But I'd love to hear what you all think about the drawing. It was a ten minute pose I worked up about two hours later with watercolor. I posted it because I thought it had a nice loose somber feeling to it. Maybe I should've posted it in the sketches section. Then again, maybe I should've drawn a sexy vixen with big tits and robot arms. mmm...robot arms.

i was thiinking when i first saw this that you went to school at ringling. theres this certain style that sometimes pops up in some peoples work that i dont see much more often other places. on the other hand....
your sense of color seems nice. i do think the green is a little too much in some places, if not, then not enough in others. i am really digging the way your pen lines look next to the wash. really nice textures with white still showing. nice mass on the firgure. one major suggestion would be to focus on the bony landmarks a little more. push your highlights. right now they dont mean much because theyre other highlights buried in places that are dark. dont be afraid to go dark. the stylization of your watercolors have flattened the peice. not bad if thats what youre going for, but keep it in mind.
i know its hard to get a crit sometimes. ive posted up stuff that gets looked at but no one really responds.

Thanks for the reply Drew.
I realize there's not much you can say when its obviously a loose sketch - but I thought your crit was great. Your thoughts on it are very similar to my own. It's certainly not my best work but I do like the sketch and I just wanted to post something because I'm always saying I will and never do.
Its funny you thought I went to Ringling - because I've been thinking about applying there. Still haven't made up my mind though.
Take care.
