yo half you kids looking to go to school for 3d animation wont make it. its just a fact so dont waste your time looking at big name schools. Im going to MVCC in uitca ny for digital animation an let me tell ya if ya cant hack it here then you better pick a different rout. But im getting a better education here then some kids going to 4 year school. I see alot of kids making charactors that have allready been mad thinking there tricking someone well your not. The whole idea with animation is to come up with an Original Idea not ripping of some stupid crap you see in a game or so forth.

Maybe they should teach you how to spell at that school.

Exactly. And who are you to have seen every single piece of art on this site and know exactly whose it is? Who are you to judge people's art for other schools? Are you the supreme art overlord? And about ripping people's stuff off, instead of directing it at us, why dont you just post in whoever's thread is doing it, and POLIETLY tell them it would be better not to copy other people. When you do that however, make sure that the piece wasn't just INSPIRED by. Because thats what alot of art is, INSPIRATION. This place is about getting better and motivation, not trying to tell people to give up. It seems a bit selfish to me. Not to mention arrogant. Where the hell is your art huh? You haven't made ONE constructive art post since your time here. Not even for someone else's art. Get off your horse and fight like the rest of us.

yo half you kids looking to go to school for 3d animation wont make it. Don't kid yourself - it's more than half. But it isn't for any lack of talent.
its just a fact so dont waste your time looking at big name schools. Yes, advice, out of the kindness of your heart I take it? Speaking from -what experience-? It's a rather equal spread among colleges and universities who moves on to jobs in the industry, so if they feel a private school is more to their tastes, so be it - but that's there choice and no one else's to make. It certainly isn't a crime and if the time and money was there I'm sure everyone would be thrilled to go.
Im going to MVCC in uitca ny for digital animation an let me tell ya if ya cant hack it here then you better pick a different rout. A school with a reputation so killer, they sought to hide any trace on their website that such a program even exists, let alone show the student work for -- we must assume they are masters at their craft.
But im getting a better education here then some kids going to 4 year school. The same could be said for someone who attends no school at all.
I see alot of kids making charactors that have allready been mad thinking there tricking someone well your not. The whole idea with animation is to come up with an Original Idea not ripping of some stupid crap you see in a game or so forth. Actually if we're being technical I believe most of the people here who go on to gainful employment as animators must learn to accurately reproduce exact facsimiles of the works of other people. At least in traditional =)

How smug can you get??
You're doing something original? Hell, we're ALL doing something that's already been done before. We're all influenced by something. I can guarantee you my left kidney that if you had the balls to show off some of your creativity, we can all say it was influenced by something; and the second you're influenced by something your originality claim goes out the window.
I think I'm in agreement with some of the others here. It's one thing to offer advice but it's another thing to come at us like a frickin' bus of supposed good will & knowledge.

im going to a collge in NY for animation and i wanna transfer to a school but i dont know were to go i wanna do something in 3d animation or something in Game Design :chug:
and then there is
What up
Is there Animation Programe there anygood im also ooking into that school and UAT in arizona its toss up between digital animation or video game design
Can anyone Help me
little guy maybe you should ask for some help deciding what you want to do before you start telling others what they should be dong. I won't even say anything about the marvelous spelling because "artist" don't really need to worry about communicating like that from what I hear.
By the way people go to school in order to learn. If you are already so fantastic why are you in school? Big name schools are big names because they have good programs. Many people want to work hard and improve their skills there. Did you not get into a big name school and now you are holding a grudge? Relax and just let others find out for themselves whether or not they will be able to "hack it" at the shool of his or her choice.

Hahah. Talk about being sore. Normally I´d flame. Cause I like to. But ca.org deserves more than a flame thread. Go play half life with your buddies and try to impress them. We´re all trying to be productive and succeed in our fields and we really don´t need you critiquing our choices in life.
And at least learn a little grammar, for goodness sakes.

I'm trying to figure out if you're trying to cover up for your mistake, or you're really in a sociology class.

It's kind of arbitrary for a cover-up. Read the original post and tell me if it sounds more like an assignment or reads more like a rant. The transitions of thought are more of the type from a person who's letting off steam. I don't care beyond this point; this is what little 8-yr-olds do. He got his attention, now it's up to the people in his life to give him some so he doesn't spend his life on the Internet being a harassment dork. Most of the people responding to this (and by the name possibly the original poster) are around 20- once you've left high school, why deal with this s--t? Honestly...

I'm under twenty. And I Seriously doubt your in a sociology class. Give us assignment specifics. Plus, you can't use our results because we never consent to anything, so if you do, it would be plagerising the CA.org forums, am I wrong? Don't think so.

Don't worry bout this guy. He's nothing more than a second rate board troll. Just look at his posts from a year ago. He was looking for a school. Looks like he just couldn't make it into the schools of his choice and he's a little pissy.
Sociology? Please...
