Painter keeps crashing on me!

Painter has started crashing on me... It started when I reinstalled my OS (running WinXP pro). The crash occurs when I try to save my .riff file. It doesn't happen every time, but when it does, it corrupts the file it's trying to save, and Painter just quits. I try to keep a couple of versions saved on the pictures I'm working on, but it still sets me back a few steps every time it happens. It's crashed like three times on me today alone.

Anyone know anything that helps?

Every once in a while, Painter will just disappear on me. It happened once without me saving my session, so I just save periodically now. I dunno why it happens though....

Just a thought...Try saving as a psd and then using PS to work on it (lol) I am an avid PS user so I would know, I have had this problem before...Seriously though try using a different format and that might save a few headaches.
