I have issues. I am a fifteen year old high school student and if there is one thing that I want to do, It's become a concept artist. Unfortunatly I'm not the brightest person around and my college cedits are going down the toilet faster than spicy mexican food on a saturday night. My problem is Algebra. I have tried harder than I ever have in any class and I'm still making about a 40%. I even go to tutoring. What can I do? Crap, I'm deppressing my self...

I will become some sort of artist even if it mean being a bum in the streets who spraypaints pictures of the prince of persia on the side of wall-mart! Well maybe not the prince of persia...

Please forgive me if this isn't the best place for this.

What's algebra have to do with art? Most art schools barely look at your GPA from what I hear-- it's more about your portfolio. I have a friend who had a 1.9 GPA, but had a very good portfolio and was accepted to Ringling.

I would hope they'd require you to graduate...maybe that's his concern...

Yeah Im glad someone brought this up... Im having similar probs.. I cant say how many times Ive gotten depressed just thinking about what school and how Im gonna make it... my main concern is that Im not gonna get good enough in skills to make a decent portfolio...I mean so far everything about drawing was kinda self taught and at my school there are like 2 classes for art... besides ceramics... Im trying to get into some art clubs and stuff next year and learn from the forums in this thread but I really am just worried....
so yeah I know what your goin through in my own way... and yeah my GPA isnt exactly incredible either :er:

I failed to memntion that I don't have evough money to go to just any art school. In fact I only have one option, Wingate University, where I can get free tuition. If only I could spell... :dead:
