Schools that teach concept design work?

Does anyone have any info of any really good schools that teach concept design work?....also 3D modelling and video programs like Maya?....any replies great appreciated.

but concept design is not a major...its just part of the project

you are better off going and studying traditional art like most the rest of us did so you can get a strong foundation. if you can paint like rembrandt or draw like raphael then you can use those skills to paint subject matter on your own.

as far as the 3d stuff...you can learn that from the group and faculty at ringling or a number of schools

Im goin back as Illustration so I can leech off of the CA kids but still draw all day every day. Ringling has good students in different departments, you can sometimes learn more from them than the teachers. Good place to be...

what kind of concept art are you talking about? the are many school with industrial design courses that are great at that for things such as objects. i environmental design courses might help you with learning quick standard 3d setups to go forth from.
if you are wanting to take courses just to learn comp programs, not get a degree- i would steer away from universities/colleges- as you'd have to take academics and other courses that would hinder you time getting to know the 3d program you are wishing to get good at. i think schools such as gnomon (???) would be more up your alley.
i am pretty sure there are schools like this in almost every large city- but the key would be going to one with good talent so you have a strong source of competitive development.
