This is a question we talk about shortly yesterday in dsg/eur-chat...
It would be interesting to hear how you came to this splendid site/community...
For me, one of my buddies, who plan to make a pc-game, asked me if i want to make the graphics for the game. He sent me some links about conceptart and this site was one of them...the best one ;)

I'm posting at an Unreal Tournament related site(well, it's not UT related anymore, but used to be), and another artist that I know there(Mr. Magnetichead) PM'ed me with the address here. :)

it was shortly after the opening of the site, i saw a post in either sijun or eatpoo, dunno anymore.
it was like "there is a new site entirely about concept art, it is run by pros and they even have a forum"
i stopped by and registered. i probably was among the first 100 people to register to the forum :)
it was cool to see this place grow and grow... still not outgrowing itself (like a lot of art forums did)

I was talking to Jester that I started drawing again and she told me that there are some interesting forums on the net. Shes said something that if I wanted some real crits and no fluffy wishywashy I should look here.
I didn´t want to try out any other forum yet.

I started a Comic course (Kubert) and they have a forum which I attended. I think it was late in 2001 that I found conceptdesignforum.com. Then, a bit later, someone there said that there's an "evil twin" called conceptart.org. Since I was a forum junky then (I checked at least ten regularly...) I tried it, too. It was okay in the beginning but got much better after the relaunch in July last year. Since then, it's (almost) my one and only forum (being a guest sometimes at "the evil twin" ;), sijun and penciljack.

I think Jason advertised it on sijun. I was thrilled at the idea and registered immediatly like gekitsu. Didn't we have to re-register again after some server hickup ? Oi my memory...

I was at the conceptdesign forum and saw a link to conceptart.org. When I went there only the title page existed; no forum. I marked it in my favorites folder and forgot all about it until about 4 months later and when I came back there was a forum going. When exactly did conceptart.org launch? I keep hearing of some big crash that had happened too but I wasn't part of the forum at the time either.

This past summer at Ringling's PreCollege, Jeff Schwartz and Mo recommended taking a look at the artwork Andrew Jones to get an idea of how to structure my portfolio for admission into computer animation. that took me on a mad search for Andrew's work, and I quickly found the site, but I didn't start posting until January. I dont know why that is, hmm. oh well

I just chanced upon finding this plaace from I THINK, EatPoo forum. OR maybe someone who goes to EatPoo who linked here. Anyways, I'm glad I found this little haunt, I'll have to scan my recent stuff and plug it to see what kinda responses and input I get on them.
