howdy folks. man, i haven't been on here for a long-ass time. anyhow, some crap i did tonight while drinking coffee...
an idea i had for a competition plane where you fly around and shoot down your opponent with a mini-gun. i should have put some sponsership decals, but you get the idea.

and a few skullheads. i'm not sure what i was thinking...i suck at organic stuff and i need the practice.

prismacolor and tria markers with milky gels for the highlights.

I like those gas cans on the flank of the plane...they would add some gratiouitous explosions to the game...(kidding, kidding)...

hey nerd,
i love the design of the plane- especially the area around the cockpit down to the mini gun. i like the color on it too. the only thing i would crit would be that the tail and the wings dont follow the same persp, you must have been talking to some cutie when you did that part.
miss ya down here!

Very nice, tight details. I love the distressed metal look on the nose of the plane.

wow...you took me serious, buddy.
you write to me...i write back 'put more poo on conceptart' and there you are.
as ususal...very slick stuff. add the sponsorship labels to the ship...that'd be sweet.
nice masseter muscle, hoss....is it attached to an exoskeleton or is that bone with sutures i'm seeing?
what coffee shop were you at and why didn't you call me to join you, fool.
peace!

GREAT WORK MAN!! I have always admired your work and the originality of your style. Its nice to see a idustrial artist whose style does not mimic the "Peter Chan," Doug Chiang" style. I first saw your art through Teamgt.com and I think my favorite piece of yours was the futuristic CATipillar crane. I just seemed really practical and believable. I agree with FISA that the minigun area is really a nice focal point and also that the back wing could be fixed up but hey, who am I to say! I'd actually like to see you draw more monsters, yours are great but I think they are not as strong as your vehicles but they could be really quickly. Anyways...GREAT WORK!! --J.Murchie

Hey man nice to see you back in action.
I really like the sweeping form you have going on in the fuselage and how it connects with the wing mount.
The end of the minigun is pretty nice too, but seems a bit soft like a plastic squirtgun... =)
Anyway, cool stuff.

Hahaha, looks like Fell's e-mailing helped. Nice to see you back, Spine. Your work with markers and machine design is unparalelled as always. I really look forward to more stuff from you.

spinefinger,
you suck at organics? they are awesome what are you talking about i love your art! always have.
everyones their worst critic. :p
the tips of the chainguns are cool looking, i like how that was designed. i like the storage crate looking things on the planes sides, very cool. decals would make it look more complete as you said, you are sick myfriend. sick indeed.

The organic stuff looks a lot like Evangelion Unite 1

If those toy gunplanes were a real thing, it would almost make me interested in sports.^_^
(PS, the skull heads are very cool too, you can draw organic, I especially like the one with no eyes.)

I like these monsters a lot, but in the plane I see some perspective mistakes.
Sorry for attaching this, but it's the easiest way to show.

personally i don't find that crit really needed. if an artist is having fun and doesn't follow perfect perspective lines then let him have fun. the perspective issue wasn't and issue to me when seeing the piece. even when going back and looking at the piece with your perspective PO i couldn't see your fix being needed.

no offense to your critique.
i dont see that much of a problem with the perspective. :o

Well why not start a drunken art post? There is some pretty funky art out there, it must have been done while intoxicated!
We could all drink with a six pack first, and see what comes out... It is week-end soon anyway.
If you live in the States you must be 21 years old to take part :)
