oil painting (18x24) done for the cover of a pirate roleplaying module called dead man's chest from white wolf/necromancer games.

Very nice painting - but isn't that his back? >:|
I love the expression on the pirate's face, and using the map as a background. My one quick-crit is that perhaps the arms/hands should be the same tone as his face (living pariate).

agree skin tones could be a touch more uniform but otherwise its great. Great textures, brush work and composition.

great piece really love the way the map is reflected in the water, drags the whole image together, my only crit apart from those above is that his sword hand is at an odd angle incomparison to the blade, well more to the hand guard.
