I hope this is the correct place. This is I think, art. And it is as far as I can make it, finished. Its a logo for a group I am associated with. In fact thats me in the upper left corner.

The whole picture as a real logo isn`t possible
An official logo is best in vector and simpel.
It has to be eyecatching, when somebody sees it they should instantly recognize it and associate it with you, it also needs to be resizeable to any size
It would be a very cool splashpage or maybe even a cd cover
The star in the bottom right corner I don`t really like, maybe you could do something else with it
For the rest i dig this alot
Keep posting :yayca:

Pretty much anything el dutche said. But I think it is important to address the kerning between those letters, the space between the K's and their adjoining letters especially. They appear to throw off the grey of the type, and I would suggest you either add more space, for instance, between the G and the B(of KGB) so that everything looks even. There is too much open white space in the K's crook, and it is throwing off the feel. Same goes for the other one. Good try, keep up the posts!

it might be more fluid if the Ks were facing the same direction too.

ditch the photo, incorporate the star into the text and then you'll have your logo. In the mean time there's too much going on to use this as a bug for branding anything. Like the others have said, it might work as a splash page image but it's still a little sloppy. Bring that sucker into illustrator and tighten it up as vector art and you'll have a winner.

I thank you all for your good comments. I have seen many things I have done wrong. It is funny how one does not see clearly the mistakes until someone else points them out :)
Also I must excuse myself. English is my second language, and because of that I misinterpret many words, like "logo". I did not mean the little logo things in the corners of pictures or on items such as the mcDonalds hamburger boxes. I meant something akin to a splashscreen thing, mini background. So lets throw the word logo out the window :P Sorry.
Anyways. Followed up on some comments. This was the result.

Well if it`s not a logo then you do not have to change those faces to vector or anything
And the star on the bottom right
Is even worse like this
Plus i liked the first KGB Font better
This one is too round
keep trying

hehe, I agree. I think I will just get rid of the star. And I felt the rouhness of the first one looked better. I'm not a big fan of vector arts :P Maybe I'll revert to the first picture, except turn the "k" around, and cut out the star.

you may not be a fan of vector art but I promise you that if you decide to print this image on anything it'll be allot cleaner looking. Vector art doesn't have to be super crisp. It is possible to make dirty looking images. i.e.

This was done as a mock up splash image for my writers studio. It was created entirely in illustrator and is 100% vector;)

Ugh, ok what really bothers me about it is that the "works" seems skewed to the right side and its making it look like its about to fall all the page or something its really getting on my nerves as I look at it more and more. I like the general idea tho so keep trying is my suggestion :D
