Doom 3 Xbox

Man, this co op mode is fun as hell. It's not the entire game in co op, but a good chunk of the levels. Ended up picking it up and playing through most of the co op with a buddy last night. really fun. Anyone else pick this up? I also nabbed up the collector's edition so I could play through Doom 1 & 2. Still pretty fun for what they are. although it feels funny to only look left and right, not up and down.

They did a good job of handling the lag -- but sometimes I don't think my connection could keep up : P

With some of the lag I would see monsters just get obliterated in your presence --- no gunfire, strobe-lighting, or sound --- just deamons dessolving back into the bowels of Hell by the mear-influence of Oracrest's proximity LOL

The way they handled the deaths is great --- you die, you're split with your partner and have to track back from the beginning --- then it gets all creepy again, because they seem to unleash more monsters.

Doom3 is way more fun co-op than singleplayer --- good old shooter fun.

the textures are obviously lower res, and the normal mapping isnt as tight. other than that, plays the same. Only gameplay difference is that the gun shots dont temporarily liight up an area, so it can be hard to fight in the dark without busting out the flashlight every once and a while.

ok, so which do you like better xbox version or pc version?
don't forget, pc version has mods that make the game far much better than it's original state.

well im a big fan of co op play, so i will probably play much more of the xbox version.

they are both good for different reasons, obviously one is superior to the other in terms of visuals. the xbox version is open to downloadable content, so hopefully when the expansion comes out, it will get that too

as for the mods, i havent played any of them, so couldnt say....
