the little dragon was the last of the lost species saved from the wars, still young and gentle but would fight for its savior.
the knight, though, only prays that it would be of some company to princess when he departs again. or when he cannot return.

Wow! These are fantastic!
I thought the first one was a woman until you said "he". Oops. Maybe it was the long hair.
I really like the face on the girl for the second one. One of the wings of the dragon kind of gets lost in the white. Other then that, both of these are awesome. Really nice detail!

Really nice rendering, but it's all rendered the same and I'm having a hell of a hard time knowing where to look or where things start and stop. It's pretty crazy and attractive nonetheless, nice work.
The drawing has the same problem with so much going on and it's all lit and rendered equally, but I can tell what's going on a little better. I dig the cloth.
For the reasons that cause me confusion, they are the same reasons I'd probably have this on my wallpaper longer than most (so much to look at!).

If Boris Vallejo did anime he'd be you. Your painting is a brilliant little gem, wonderfully rendered, the colors and values are perfect and the textures are convincing. I can feel the metals and smell the smoke.
Conceptually however....perhaps I should just not even say anything...
Naw I'll let it go, everyone else on this forum really seems to like this sort of thing.
What's the medium by the way? It looks like oils.

I dig the first one. WOW
Your pics remind me K. Terada/B. Vallejo's style.
Really really really kick ass. Post more.

This is really confusing, it looks awesome, great rendering, but I stared for a couple minutes and couldn't figure out where the arms and legs were?

You've got the rendering down awesome, and some really wicked concepts. I would like to see some more attention paid to focal points and readability, though. Even after staring for some time, I'm having a hard time making out what certain things are supposed to be. Don't be afraid to leave a little detail out of some areas.
But really, really great work.

I hate to crit such a beautiful piece but I am having a really hard time figuring out the top image. There are so many components to the figure I can't tell what is arm, body armour etc. If you hadn't explained the image underneath it I don't think anyone would know what was going on.
He looks like he is twisting his torso, the arm to the forefront I assume is the devils arm(?) - it has a claw and a steam vent. What is the piece sticking out with the yellow skull and the two tendrils? There are too many pieces of random looking armour/cloth/flesh to make any sense. He also seems to only have one leg. I assume the other is hidden behind the first but I would like to see a shadow / sillhouette of the following leg.
The background could do with more atmospheric distortion. The mushroom rock in the distance has nearly the same level of detail and tone as the foreground. Even the mountain looks like it may be only a few feet away from the main figure.

Incredible... the first piece is stunning in technique. As mentioned, it is hard to tell what is really going on but it definitely has that valejo feeling. Tight work my friend.

thanks all for the compliments and crits.
for the first piece do think the bit about the background was a little flat was right, but then it's just a character design img not so much of a piece of full scale illustration in the first place ~_~
and err. kingrobot, he does have 2 legs.. unless this image is appearing too dark on your monintor ._.

I agree with the comments on the armor and I was confused a bit on the guy's gender but still, if I had a third of your talent, I'd be a very happy artist. The pencil(?) drawing definitely appeals to me most. Post more pleeease.

Great textures in first one, but it is very hard to tell what the picture shows. You must look at the picture for a long time to figure out what it is.

Definitely beautiful work.....
....if not a bit confusing. Unless you're playing up the surreal apsect in the first one. Which would make thematic sense. All the same, basing my observations more on the second piece, I'd say that you might be a bit leary of applying a strong contrast to the work. Which, if done, would greatly increase the readability of both. Most especially the second one. That dragon definitely needs to be somehow highlighted. Adding some rich deeper values behind him would do the trick.
Whatever the case, this is still very nice work :)
