Hi, guys. I have a problem with painter 9 digital watercolor.
Does anybody know if the digial watercolor layer of painter 9 drys out automatically or not without proper command.
I have the problem that the Digital Watercolor layer drys out without commonding and knowing it.
In result, i cannot keep continuing painting with watercolor and painting light value of color and white on dried layer...
It happened more than once.
Does anybody know what cause this happening??

In addition, this is the image i'm working on with this problem.
i wanna lighten the value more in order to make the comp. clearer and more obvious.
anybody has any suggention for this, help me out!

thanks

I've only run into two reasons it dries:

1: Hitting dry, or switching to other non water color media.

2: Saving, saving also flats and dries the layer.

As of yet, I haven't found a way around this, maybe someone else can enlighten us both.

You should ask this question in the Painter forum. (scroll down the list of CA forums)

Thank you skull dry. i don't think that no.1 would apply to my case. cuz i never use other medias except the watercolor.
but i save many times for just in case when my mac freeze or something while painting.

Thanks L. Scott, i'll ask this question on the thread for further assistance.

i dont have v9, but as long as the principles have carried thru from earlier versions the water should only dry if you save in a format other than RIFF (from memory), but then again it could dry with any format..
