This is my first try, and I know there are ALL SORTS OF ISSUES with this piece, but hey, that's ok, it's my first one.

I'm going to take some time and try different things to smooth the clay, and make pieces that should look like what I want them to look like, ie: belt buckles, shoe laces, buttons, whatever. Then I'll start a new figure and have better control over what I want to create. I'll make little pieces not whole figures.

Aanyway, here's the final figure (without feet ).

Sorry about the file size.

I think, if it's possible, you should try to define the knuckles just a it more. Other than hat it looks posotivley aethiestical. Whether that's offensive or not is up to you.

Thanks for having a look.

I agree about the hands. I posted a close up of them because I wasn't happy with them, and I wanted to show them.

Thanks again for the comments.

Hey Ghoul!

How did you find working with sculpey?? I am currently also doing a piece, and to be honest, not liking the sculpey much....Especially when it comes to fine tuning and working with detail.......What have your experiences been like??

Also...How do you post images?? for some reason, the site won't let me post pics.....

thanks!

For a first go, this looks great! I like the extra dimension of the cross on the chain. It would look better with feet though...

Are you going to paint it?
