This is a very moving piece. :( This reminds me...TNT suppose to have this miniseries coming out in June that's produced by Steven Spielberg called "Into The West". It looks very interesting since it suppose to tell the story of Westward expansion from both the Native American's and Settler's sides.

awesome, a well executed (although a tad unfinished?) piece of substance. I didn't even see the baby, so ya, you may want to address that :P - Maybe just paint in some of the face, or add decoration to the blanket around it?
Anyway, I think another pass would bring this to a nice finish. Awesome painting with serious subject matter - kudos.

kress:
i desaturated the baby but maybe your right about some decoration on the blanket, as far as the rest of it looking a tad unfinished...how so?render it out a little more? anyways thanks for the critique

Change the value on the baby not the saturation... maybe rearranging the blanket a little would make the little sucker pop out a bit too.

Hi
It looks like a furtive vision, and that's great! Like a flash of drama, a subliminal picture... really strong impression ! :$
Congrats.
