some spaceships

hi all. i dont post here much, i have been a lurker and have checked this site many times while taking breaks at work. i am trying to get back in the groove so i will start by posting some concept work i did a few years back.
hopefully, i will get my arse in gear and have some newer stuff soon so i can keep up with the great work i see on this board.

I'd like to say something to the first spaceship. I think it's not a concept-design form. Ship would look so, if would made him technicians and engineers. Now, designer have this kind of metal-thing and his job is to FIND a shape. Some proper shape. Some nice line.
There now this doesn't it mean that it doesn't please to me. I like it. It's jus a suggestion.

i think i understand what you are saying. that the ship looks more like a jumbled structure that perfoms it function and is simply that. there is no design finesse to it. like the bot that was sent to mars a few year back.
unfortunately those were the exact specs i was given to create this ship. "A structure made up of rods and beams." it was the look that my superiors were going for.
thanks for the crit though, i am in total agreement. it was a hard task to try to pull off, because who wants to make an ugly looking barge? i was happy with the end result though.

I like the industrial barge type stuff though... just making them look undesigned is an art in itself.
