Drawing I did during biology class, because I was so incredibly bored...!

Oh, and the image is marked to prevent theft... Ignore and don't comment on it...

I get the feeling the head doesn't really fit onto the body...

*nods* You're right, but could you be more specific so I can improve? Tell me what's wrong, not just that it looks wrong.

Does it look like a wolf's head glued onto a human body? Or is the neck too furry?

The head is tilted to the right and front whereas the body is very static from the front. The body hardly has any perspective. Try to give it a 'schwung'. Really nice head though!

You're right too. I could have been more constructive... It's just hard to say what's wrong.

the body looks a little flat compared to the head. Perhaps the head should be placed a bit lower to make it more believable as this is more natural with wolves. Even a bit more to the front.

If you think away the fur... the head connects on a really weird place..

Curious how it's gonna work out. :)

[Edit]
Dio beat me to it.... :D

Nice drawing of the wolf head! It seems pretty obvious that you drew the wolf's head from a photo....nothing wrong with that. But...if your going to do that for the head get some photographic reference for the clothing as well and the drawing will look better. Right now it seems you draw better from photographs than out of your head so the clothing looks cartoony compared to the more realistic wolf head. Drawing from photographs is a great way to learn as a young artist but just make sure you start to draw totally from your head as well and apply what you have learned from drawing from photographs. Hope these fomments help. J. Murchie

This is the second time this book was mentioned to me in the last few weeks, odd, I may actually have to give it a look.
Did you just get it online, or at a Barnes'&Noble or similar, comic store, where specifically?

It's one of the best illustrated "B.D." that I've ever read. The intruige isn't bad either. I was roaming the stores around here lately in the hope there'd be a sequel to it but alas... have to be patient (Still waiting for Le Someil Du Monstre :( )

Anyway if you're interested in anthros like this I also recommend the book. Of course the artist is out of Disney and has mastered realistic anatomy along with cartoony rendering of animals ;)

the reason they don't match is because you really didn't show the full suit. it looks like you just drew a wolf head and a collar.
