great! its HENDRIX! nice composition. I think you need a wider range of value. there seem to be only white and black. which is good if thats what your going for, but in the shadow under the chin it looks liek some sort of value transition so that throws me off. Also the nostrils seem too black. The afro is too large in the upper right hand corner. not sure if the scarf being yellow is distracting or not. anyhow nice work and keep it up.

I'm a huge fan of his. I agree w/ the other crit about more values being present...

Looking at it again I think it needed more vine ... Well, the think about colors and shades here is that I don't paint much and I wanted Hendrix to be flat. So for me there are too many values.
