Is there a proper way to begin a face? A model or something? Also, please post tips w/ lips and eyes, and noses if you can.

but it helps to either study facial anatomy, which can get boring, draw from life or ::gasp:: traces all kinds of faces on tracing paper, all the time, like do hundreds of tracings until you have like all expressions down pat....worked for me :P

practice. draw from life.
cover a page with eyes, cover a page with noses, ect.
whatever it is you feel you are weak at, delve into the weakness. from my experience, i feel skill in art works this way.
