Sonja, I really like your version of the tin man. How long did it take you to do that?

Thanks, this, as usual, took around 1½ hours. Most of the time the earliest i get to start is 09:30 - 09:45 GMT (sometimes later, rarely earlier cuz i'm a lazy bast) after the morning run around in the car. I don't like to spend more than 2 hours doing them so i've set that as my limit. Apart from the very first one (633) i think i've managed to stay within that 2 hour timeframe for all of them thus far...

Although i began doing them to practice Corel Painter, i now do them because i enjoy the daily exercise in speed painting and cranking the old grey matter over for a decent concept in the morn. I dont get time to crit anything or reply much but i think everyone that takes part does a wonderful job and the regulars are all troopers IMO. The DSG is a tough cookie to stay on top of! Especially if you're just getting into drawing and painting and of course have a full time job! Keep at it!

BTW, Hamsta, i love your stories BRING THEM BACK! lol (i also think your art works very well when you put the time into it! Great colour sense)

I can't work with these subjects! :frustrated: as soon as a non-redesign subjects return so will my stories :)
/me tries to think of story for scarecrow and dorothy...

thx for the compliment, bringing things to a more finished state seems to be a big problem for me

sonja-nine you put out some kick ass art. I haven't posted in awhile but plan to again soon. I visited your website and was very impressed. Keep up the great work.

lukavi - i love it, think it best fits the idea of heartless, the tinman is rather cold, he even has a somewhat innocently smiling face, nicely done

Thanks, dagreengo. What program did you use to make yours? I like the style, quick and loose. Sonja-nine (great stuff as usual), machzero, mindslyde and dodge, those look cool too.

lukavi - i friggin' love that

Hey all. I planned on (fell asleep at the desk) finishing this up last night in time for the next topic, but I went way too far with the sketch. I'm not at all used to the tablet, so it took me far longer than it should have.

The tinwoman came upon a tin-man, scorched and blown heart in-hand. She's sharing her pump with him. I imagine they'll head for a repair shop. ;)

still just a Painter sketch - painted version should show up in my sketchthread tomorrow or so if anyone feels like checking on it :)
