I must admit its a little sad that the richest country in the world can't feed its people better.
thank god there is no Mcdonald's in Benin (for now... :$ ). here you can get great food for three days for the price of a whopper.

Yeah, my first thought on the first burger was that a ninja had killed it with a shuriken of white lettuce, and the second one had this barely attached thin piece that hung flaccid off it's side.

Prom, reminds you of airbrushed porn? Reminds me a little of Halo 2 :nohope:

Attention Americans: the only way you can be sure you are eating cow is if you buy from the supermarket and cook it yourself. You have been warned. Ratmeat futures for great wealth!

yeah, I usually stay away from the stuff, but was poor and huingry this weekend, and the dollar menu beckoned, like a sweet siren of scrumptious consumption. I was met with a medusa of a burger however, one that turned my tastebuds to stone.....

You'd be suprised to know that a lot of food advertisment is actually... noto food ! I knew this guy who specialised in food props for packages. The stuff was usually raw and painted over by him to make it look perfect and yummy. Sureal. But then again we'Re talking about advertisment so....

You know... Sometimes I'm glad I live on an island that doesn't allow franchises (we've got a couple, like radio shack, but that got in before the chamber of commerce clamped down).

The last time I ate fast food, it was like cardboard. That was at Quizno's down in Oak Harbor. The last time I ate at Wendy's, it took me two days to get the processed grease taste out of my mouth. :vodkamachine:

Read the ingredients on what you buy at the grocery store. If you can't pronounce or can't identify it, stay away from it. Those hamburgers look ill :skull: Stick to organic foods. It's far better for you :madchef:

Stick to ORegano! Works with most pastas.

Honestly speaking, food in North America (I'm in Canada) is really bad. I used to work out a lot more back in Singapore and our eateries are very VERY much cheaper and have a lot more in terms of variety. Its also healthier food because most of them are made from fresh ingredients rather than processed meat/fat/cheese/whatever.

In the nearly 8 months I've been here. I've gone up 5kg in weight and my waistline increased by an inch...I'm back to a 31.5 inch waistline while I was 30.5 and 60Kg before I came over for school. I'm not working out as much as I used to and I don't eat as much....but I'm still widening!!!!

I'd have to agree ;D

There's a lot of truth in that. But it's not just tofu. My wife is vegetarian, and so are my kids. She's been a vegetarian for over 15 years and she looks nummy <3

We do a lot of pastas, breads, and carbs, fruits and whatnot. Also, a lot of mediterainian foods, mexican and Japanese (I make both a mean salsa and sushi :tihi: )

I don't get it those hamburgers look great!? Just like mama used to make'em, all sloppy and juicy baby! Those are the best! Bunch of pansies! My hamburger doesn't look like the picture boo hoo.

You guys must have grown up in the suburbs, in the inner-city it had to be your birthday to get Mcdonalds. Shoot, you were lucky if your hamburger was made out of beef instead of spam and it was never on a hamburger bun, noooo only white sandwhich bread baby! :)

I have. Good stuff, but the food wasn't. I hate fast food, yet every store near here is packed full of McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Taco Bell, KFC..... :dead:
