I'll take a swing at it. I have a quirky week coming up, so I don't know what my work load is going to be like, but I'm always up for recreational acts of artistry.
I'm a digital artist, so if you don't mind I'd like to keep it in that realm. Otherwise, sky's the limit.

I'd like to try. Digital art here too, or traditional pencils, due to lack of an art supply store. Topic, I dunno, I'd say something like "Viking victory", because I need to do more buff dudes with horns coming out their heads. How bout it?

charcoalArtist,
since this deadline is so short as it is, let's just do one image if you don't mind too much. ;)
I don't care about the timezone thing. I'm fine with noon for everyone where they are, or whatever is the norm for you guys.
(like i said, i'm new)

Bluepuppy: sorry if we took over your challenge.. here's a wip, I'm not sure how good I can get it to be and I haven't competed before so let me know if it's good enough to enter or if I should gracefully bow out.

my bad, here's my vikings ... they look like pirates to me ... my goal was to stay away from the typical viking costumes and dress them up a little lighter :nohope:

Great job everyone indeed - good to see people posting anything on such a short 'deadline'
Me and Syris both have vikings holding heads...the ultimate show of victory!
Annamate - it was done in my sketchbook on a page that toned with watercolor. Then I went in with pencil and a touch of white pastel here and there. Scanned it in, and gave it a super quick "tinting" in Paint IX. If you're interested I'll post the original sketch before it was altered digitally. It looks pretty much the same.

like I said - not a big difference from the final version...But who knows...maybe i'll work this up one day (i have like 200 sketches I keep saying that about)
