Hello there!
My name's Katriana, I'm an aspiring artist based out of dumbfuck *cough* sorry, Dawson Creek British Columbia. I use the term aspiring because the odds of me getting any sort of recognition/paying jobs/into any sort of art institution are slim to none. Although I do have the self depreciation part down pat.
I'm 19, and, pathetically enough, still have not graduated highschool/will not be graduating any time soon. I want to do something related to art for a living, like concept art or animation. However, I don't think the odds are in my favour in that department as there are currently several million people with greater talent, and as far as I know employers only care whether or not you have a piece of paper that says you are as smart/talented as whatever school you've attended for X number of years says you are. (I'm kinda hoping someone tells me I'm wrong on this but :\ )
Anyways, I'm just saying my hellos and all. When it comes to myself I'm really down most of the time, but otherwise I'm a real nice person. ...I think.

Welcome to CA :) If you stick around, you'll find out what you need to do to work in art. It's up to you to do it.

you just told me the same story i would have told others when I was nineteen. hadnt finished school...lived in small town minnesota and had no hope of anything good happening with my dreams unless I reached out and took to build them. If you really want it then you will find the ways to do it. if you dont...you wont. if some silly guys like me, coro, and the others doing the stuff for a living can do it so can you.
welcome....and best.

Welcome to conceptart.org! I hope your stay will be as educating, awe-inspiring and hilariously funny as mine has been so far.
Now flash your boobies!
(Disregard that last sentence. :D)

If you've got a good portfolio and the drive, nothing else matters (except maybe dumb luck). So get to work!
