Does anyone know how the artist colored this picture in at bottom or take your guess? The coloring is so unique and I can't tell how they did it, all my drawings are in black and white so I don't know much about color style, can anyone help a fellow artist out?

hmmm... Looks like an imitator of the artist who illustrates the "Magna Carta" role-playing game in Korea. I would give you the link to his website, but for some reason its not working right now. Anyway, the reason I say "imitator" is that the drawing is not quite up to par with the rest of the Magna Carta Artist'S stuff. The painting style, however is pretty similar, with the exception of the the lack of reflected light in the shadows. I could be wrong though, maybe this IS his piece. If it is he must have been kind of under the weather on that day...

I feel like such a fool for not knowing his name...

"color style"?

it's digital.
so it's probably colored in photoshop or painter.

Meta What Creations?

Actually, I don't think Metacreations publishes Painter anymore. It looks like its now under Procreate. Painter 7 is a computer program that specializes in digital painting, as the name implies. It simulates traditional media and also allows for the creation of custom painting tools. You can find it at http://www.procreate.com/ Its a little expensive, but you can get the dumbed-down "Painter-Classic" for pretty cheap these days.

Yeah, so the answer to your "painting style" question is that he uses Painter software, most likely in conjunciton with a wacom tablet. He probably uses his own custom brushes, as most digital painters do. He probably draws out his compostions in pencil, scans them in, and paints on top of, or behind the line-work. Most importantly, he has a fundamental undertanding of light, shadow, form, and color. He really, really likes reflected light.

probably not a mixture, Painter has a pretty good airbrush-brush. (sounds redundant) i do airbrushing at work right now and painter at home, and most people don't know the diff. i prefer the metacreations to the procreate version, myself...

That's definitely Hyung Tae Kim's. He draws in pencil and paints over it in Painter...
