I did this for the first contest we had at satellitesoda.com, however, it's about two months late, and i think i may have over-worked it.
what do you think?

This is very striking (and very funky). While the large tentacles block off the composition, I'm not sure that it doesn't work. It gives more tension between BF and FLB. I don't think the hard lines on BF (assuming the big guy is badfunk) work. They give too much definition back there and remove a lot of the atmospheric effects from the heat. It also seems to be too cool in the upper left, weighting the pic heavily to the left.
Looking at it more, I think a lot of the composition actually trying to indicate FLB as the focus, but he doesn't have the contrast to sustain it.
This is really cool, but has some slight balance problems.

Crazy cool man!
Is that a question mark infront of the little guy? ;)
Everything I was gonna say Dogfood beat me too it.

SquaredS: no that's not a question mark, it's just energy coming out of his chest.
the "love beam" if you will.
dogfood: thanks, and yes, FLB *the little guy) is supposed to be my focal point. i wasn't too pleased with the way i drew him, so i almost didn't work on that area of the picture at all until the end. so he got the last of my energy.
i agree about the outlines, i think i might take them out.
thanks for the feedback guys :teeth:

i don't know if it's just me, or my monitor. but it kinda hurts my eyes to look at it [not cause it's bad, but the colors], but my first impressions was sweet! don't think the pink/purple "love beam" works, just imho
