I can assure you that mr. humpface is not one of us Admins, I hope you would grant us more credit than that :) , I gave him the custom title of the "douchbag heckeler" after reading his first posts, most of which have been deleted. I have been in contact with him and basicly he is a good guy, he is just sick of and i quote " all the bullshit dick sucking he sees on the boards" quite a colorfull vocabulary.
he sees it has his responsibility to balance the scales of unadularated admiration, by retorting with tactless criticism and raw brutal honesty, consider him as a harbinger of Karma. he might be a jerk but he is being honest and everyone has a right to thier opinion, in time we all learn to take him with a grain of salt. I dont think he means any harm. I have advised him in the future to back up crits with some more constructive comments, calling something "crap crap crap" is not constructive. who knows, maby if we encourage him he will post some of his own art on the site and you guys can rip it to shreads:D

I feel like Jesus when I say, i would expect you all to return the same that I give.

The instructors/people I learned the most from were the ones that publicly humiliated me.

Furthermore, I never personally criticized the person you may be, art is an object like any object man can create, what makes it so fucking special is the love and tender care you place in the object you are so proud of making. If you can detach yourself from a certain degree of that emotional bond, you will be less afraid to cross the limitations you have already instilled in yourselves. It also helps you keep from being offended when someone entitled to their opinion dislikes your object. If you were a house builder and I told you it doesn't look right, who gives a shit, it would still fulfill it's purpose, to provide shelter. So if I tell you your art doesn't look right, it doesn't matter. It still fulfills it's purpose, to be art. It's not like I killed your pet kittens. Anyone feel better now?

Everybody is entitled to give his opinion, it's up to the artist what to do with it. I never saw something made by John Doe but that doesn't mean he has no right to comment. I never saw art from some of my teachers but still listen to them.

And from what i've seen he's being more constructive lately.
