Here are two things I just finished. These portraits are of the same guy (yes, guy not girl) but they don't quite look like the same person. But that doesn't really bother me too much, they are in two slightly different styles.

This first one started out as a pencil sketch and became a practice in skin color. I was trying to figure out how to bring out color in someone who is supposed to have really pale skin. It was fun to do.

Painter 7

This one was started in December and I just finished it. I was trying to get as realistic as I could get for an imaginary character. I only had reference for the hand... which I still do not like. If anyone has suggestions for it, I would love to hear them.

Started in PS7 but reworked all over in Painter 7

Nice stuff. I like the skin color on the first one, but I think the blue is a bit too saturated in some areas.

These are cool but the first one looks like a girl...it's obviously because of the eyes and eyelashes...lessen the eyeleshes and do not pop out the eyes...
than it will be ok i think...the color searching on the face is cool...and yea..there are so much blue in some places...lessem them....
they are nice...keep up workin

The second one is great, but first one looks kinda.. dead. His skin is too livid, I think.

yeah, i think the blue shouldn't be too overbearing, it should just sorta wash over the flesh tone. since he is pale, i think you could play with the translucency of the skin just a bit. it looks a little dry and dead right now. they are good head pictures anyway ;)

hmm, looks like most people think I went a little overboard with the color. Hehe, guess I was having too much fun.

Atmospheria: Yeah, I noticed later that the eyes were a little bright, and big. I'll do a little more painting on them. And I'll reexamin the blue, too. Thanks.

Yaseck: Dead? hmm...

Snowfly: Yes, getting skin translucency is difficult. I was trying to get it a little here. Not really sure how to go about it if this is not the way.
