ive been a little obsessed with World of Warcraft lately and had a desire to produce some fan art for it....(coupled with jelousy of my roommate's assignment to create artwork for a video game) ...and here it is...well one of them...
tell me what this needs to improve it.
muchly appreciated.

Nice overall, but the eyes seem a bit wonky.
The nose doesn't say "nightelf" to me much either.

Oh, well I don't play WoW, so my only prominent awareness of blue purple beings came from Reign of Chaos's Night Elves.
Because I didn't think to remember the troll medics in the orc army.

I would take it into photoshop flatten your file then duplicate the image and desaturate the duplicate via "hue/saturation"and play around with it untill you get it where you want it. I would also try taking it to gray scale to see where things "lay" out i think maybe your tonalities are reading fairly closly and that would hold your piece back from really "popping"...also bring in some texture to your cloth have fun making her garment feel like a trolls all dirty and worn with perhaps a differnt brush try the chalk brush or just have fun till you find one that works for you... :rendered:
