Here's a another GI Joe comic cover...I didn't have too long on this one, so it was a bit rushed...I did the monochrome on the top one...full color one was done by Devil's Due.

very nice, indeed.
i like the tone you used for this, it really puts a lot more into it. but, i think the gun pointing towards the viewer needs to be more detailed and have more value.
also, with the tentacle thing in the bg... if you faded that away it'd push it further back. keep up the good work. ;)

I think figuring out whose limb attaches to who here can be a little quirky, but it's still fanfuckingtastic to me :D

Nice line work. The tone has a nice effect, but I would bump the contrast on the front gun. My eye also seems to want the shadow side of the tentacle to be darker than the background, especially with how much of the form is getting lost, but I suppose that's a matter of taste. The stomach on the main figure seems to be a bit of a hotspot too...I can see that it's being used to help define the strong light source, but it takes some of the focus from more dynamic elements. Maybe casting a shadow from the foremost figure on it would solve this problem?

All in all a strong piece, but the values could use tweeking here and there.

looks great, really good job solid drawings but u got the swastika backwards and for historical accuracy the shoulder strap design is completely different, over all u did a great job

I like it a lot. Has nice values. Yeah, I'd say my only crit is the bg. Tentacles are cool.

Massively cool. My only crit is that it would be nice to see some more darks in the forward gun. It has practically the same line weight and value range as the tentacle behind it even though it's so much closer to us.

nice work, but I see one problem sticking out. the guy on the right side of the page that is bending his arm back towards his torso, HIS right arm looks really funky almost like its extruding from his torso, I would either move the arm down a bit so you get a better siloutte of it, or give it more contrast so they dont blend so much together....but moving the arm down is your best bet in my oppinion.

Odds,StrangeAlchemist, Elwell- thanx for the crits on the tones...if i get a chance I'll probably try to mess around with them some more. I'm not sure how this will end up in print...though the original coloring I did was a little different...the background was red and the figures were basically B&w...the main figure really sticks out that way.

ColdKodiak-yeah, the pile o zombies didn't turn out quite as clear as it could have.

el norteno- thanx for pointing out...I wasn't too worried about historical accuracy...so i didn't do too much research

MiniBoss7- I might go back & add some clouds& smoke in the BG

mcotie-thanx man

Noc-you mean the zombie on the right above my sig?...I like the way he looks alone...though I don't like how his elbow covers one of the arms reaching up...I probably would have done something different there if I was drawing this again. thanx for your comments.

loomer-thanx...crits are fine with me:)

thanx for the comments everyone.
I'm adding another new illo at the top
