I have applied to the MFA prgrams of Calarts, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rhode Island School of Design and Columbia University. I want to pursue a career in animation and live action film. I got in Calarts and SAIC but have not heard from RSID or Columbia. Which school would be best for me? Thanks everyone!

I also got accepted to SAIC and RISD and just to give you heads up that they are extremely pretentious schools. The competition is ridiculously high and when i visited it seemed like they couldnt care less if you went to the school there. SAIC is also a purely conceptual art school so if you are looking for specific majors, not only do they not have majors but they dont focus on classes that help you refine your art skills. RISD on the other hand though equally pretentious has an incredible foundation program that is also known as art bootcamp. Its one of the best in the country but dont be suprised if some ofthe teachers try to rip you apart. They are tough over there but if you survive it, it can only make you stronger. I go to the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. It is one of the top ten art schools in the country and the foundations program great. Hope this helped at all. COngradulations on getting accepted to some of the best art schools in the country. Much Luck.
