for those not excited....i dunno but i think we have really come a long way quick. It was not that long ago that this was one of the most popular games on the planet.

Nintendo make me horny.

I LOVED the bold look they chose for Wind Waker - every moment of that game was an utter joy - so part of me is disappointed they didn't persevere with that style, but there's no denying that this looks stunning.

I really hope the Revolution proves to be a massive success for them, too; Ninty are by far the most creative force in videogames today. Long may it continue.

yeah same here. wind waker had some of the most impressive visuals ever. the lighting, the bomb smoke (drool) the huuge bosses...

but then again, i also loved the sort of semi-realistic style of ocarina of time and majoras mask, so im glad that we get to see a come back of that of some sort on gamecube. plus it'll make all the casual gamer idiots shut up ^-^

Good point! People are entitled to like what they like, but I got a good deal of peverse pleasure watching the faces of the GC bashers in the office when Resident Evil 4 booted up. Hopefully Zelda will have the same effect..!

I saw the trailers on gametrailers.com some day ago.

If they had replaced Link with something else I would never have guessed it was a Zelda game. Looked great though.

OMG!OMG!OMG! <3 Wow, so....beautiful......oh, man. Why does fall have to be so far away?! :nohope: I fell inlove with this game when it premiered at E3 last year, and I haven't fallen out of love since.;) Oh man, oh man, oh man. :confident And the news about the Revolution being compatible with GC! That made my day. And the WiFi thing. Holy crap! I can't wait. <3

They landed a nice compromise for all the fans that are now grown up and wanted a 'grown up Link' -- but if you've played any Wind Waker, a lot of the designs reflect that game - and this new zelda is a sequel to that.

what?upcoming zelda is a sequel to wind waker? :$ oh noooo. i want good ol' hyrule again.i want zelda and badman ganon. nothing beats that cool transformation in the loz:oot game.the music was perfect. i want to feel that slight nostalgica again-knowing the characters and stuff.

cartoonfox
March 12th, 2005, 06:03 PM
making it a seaqual only meens that it is next in the time zone. obviously you will be in hyrule again.
although you wont see characters from the ooc game (they're all 1000's of years old now ^-^) you should see zoras, gorons (there was one in the trailer) and epona (or whatever the horse will be called) is there too ^-^

dont worry im sure this will be an amazing game, full of nostalgic momments.

I still haven't beaten Wind Waker. Sailing around on that retardedly slow Boat just isn't fun. It looks Awesome but, it's too bad it wasn't a little more cinematic and there was nothing improved in terms of gameplay(they could learn some things from Capcom and RE4 heh)!

I really hope this one has SOME kind of gameplay.

Looks fun though...

well,i find wind waker easier/faster to beat than the previous ones.i have to admit i only have ocarina of time and majora's mask, but those were hell longer to do,and more difficult also. and the cinematics were better, aswell as the end bosses.in wind waker i felt like "been there, done that already" when fighting the big worms and the flying head.that was the weakest point for me.
oh,and joshua, have you beat the wind god yet?if you have,it should be far easier to travel fast around the world.

If they had replaced Link with something else I would never have guessed it was a Zelda game. Looked great though.

I have noticed with the last two zelda games, four swords, and minish cap that they went back to the starting point, and implemented puzzles, enemies, and other aesthetics from the original, like the 3 triceritops bosses, fire basins that shoot at you, and other little details like that. I hope they keep running with that, and add some of those older enemies and puzzles and general feel into this game. I could see the hands being much more menacing if you could see a bunch of them floating in the air all ambient like, and every once in a while, one of them shoots down, and tries to grab you up.

I sort of liked what capcom did with the ages/seasons games. Well, I was never a big fan of the whole 2 worlds and puzzle thing though, but they did fine putting many of the original designs in prominent positions. Strange seeing like-like (shield eater burger) in the open though.
