Phamily Pheud is a television game show. It is set in a future instance, where competence has overthrown human life from being the prime moral value. As the perfect expression of this culture, “Phamily Pheud” has become the most popular game show of its time. The show pits many families (with up to 5 members each) against each other, competing for cash and prizes. However, the nature of this competition is brutal and full of action. The audience is entertained by the bloodshed, and the players find the winning prizes and glory worth the cost.

The game is under conceptual design. All current concepts are presented in categories. What we are after, for now, is to gather enough ideas and comments (about gameplay, visuals, characters, coding requirements, etc.), in order to process and document them. We will then move to the production phase.

This mod is administered by the design group of a development studio that has published 3 PC strategy titles.

We need your help in the following fields:

GFX Design
We want a creative person that likes the mod concept, and can propose a solid idea about the mod's overall graphic style and identity.
This is a double task because it includes the art direction of two entities:

- The TV game show
- The mod and its interface

While the mod can borrow elements of the show (like the logo, the spectator camera views, etc.), we'd like the show to be approached as if it was a real-life TV show.

Some examples of the TV show needs: A logo ("Phamily Pheud"), general typography style for both screen (bonus round titles and announcements) and print (posters in maps), sponsor ad poster templates (that will be visible in maps), on-screen stats info style, team color coding, family member nametag style, etc.

Some examples of the mod interface needs: overall graphic style, page by page layout, game HUD, etc.

Concept Art
We want a creative person that likes the mod concept, and can propose scetches for the TV show arenas. The arenas are the venue locations of the show. We are not looking for details about balancing the map playability. What we are interested at this point is to get ideas about the ways arenas could be set, something in the area of TV scenography.

Imagine that you have been given a fat budget for setting up a Phamily Pheud show. You know that there will be a live crowd attending and the host's stage (both behind bulletproof glass). You also know that there will be a huge screen displaying the hidden areas of the arena to the live crowd. You can build the arena in a studio or around an existing location that the production rented for a special edition show (like a castle, or a beach, or a jungle, etc.). Of course, the budget is not unlimited, and you cannot build something in space! This is a real show - not so far in the future - and you should use materials that can be taken down after it's over. The arena should look like an artificial TV show set. It will contain sponsor ads, cameras, lights, etc.

Like mentioned before, the goal is not the creation of entire maps. It is to visually conceptualize a variety of possible arena types, in order to process and decide on what must (or must not) be included in maps. This will later become a documented guide for mappers and modelers.


Keep in mind that this mod is design-aware. We will not rush into production, because we know from experience that it pays off. Your work will have the chance to influence the game design a great deal, and not be restricted by requirements set by other areas of the development.
