I've got a tiny critique:

Where the girl's (front most) leg meets her torso is a bit off. I would not connect the thigh with the torso. I would separate it a bit. And the back leg, if extended upward, wouldn't match up with her torso. So I would just pinch in all of these areas with the arrows.

I'm good with female anatomy, but not good with cities or monsters. So to me, the rest is perfect!

Hey, MagicGoo.. Good looking stuff here... Well, Im from NYC and it would be very cool to get some peoples together, maybe sit somewhere and just draw.. I know that Im going to check out the Sci-Fi Gallery that Donato has his painting in... I believe JRR is going also... Maybe Saturday... Hey, Jeff you should come out as well.!

Coke Bottle manufacturers have gone too far!

hehe, nah it's a cool piece, nice sense of size and scope.
Think a more solid lighting to the environment would really tie it together. I just don't feel it right now... it feels like 3 seperate pieces all put together.

vigo, i wish i could, but i'm temporarily relocated to boston. my girlfriend will be looking to transfer to new york in the summer, so that's when i hope to be back in the area. until then i'm only back occassionally to visit the family, etc. the rest of you new yorkers should definitely get together though, and I'll join you as soon as i'm back where i belong:)

I also wanted to add something, and I don't know why I didn't say it when I first replied to this thread...but I really love the way you've depicted New York here. I don't know if you're a native new yorker, or relocated, but to me, this feels like the new york that is rarely depicted. this is how a native new yorker sees their city...not some hollywood cliche or tourist's snapshot. You've captured the feel of the Hudson here, and the receeding moutains of new jersey are a beautiful touch. I'm a big monster fan as well, so I naturally dig the creature, but my favorite part of this piece is the city...well done!

well, i think the bg where the clouds are seems rushed almost...or that you just took a bunch of photos and slapped them together and then tried to go over them to make them pop less and didn't do it enough. but the character is very well rendered!

I dig your color choices in your work. In the first pic, I like the individual components, but I'm not buying the composition or the way the components are combined. Think about the over all lighting, you got some sunset action going already with the buildings, now bring that into the monster and the flying character, it will result in a much more integrated feel. Also I'm not buying the scale of the monster. He's supposed to be massive right? Add something around him so we can relate in scale. Pay close attention to the detail on the creature too, if you make edges too crude it gives the impression of a smaller object which is closer to us. Hope this helps and keep up the work! :)
