Same here keep them coming! I feel like looking at how some of you guys sketch ahas really helped me, i can see in my sketches a little more confidence. Like before I was always trying to be very carfull about the amount of lines i put down, but now i'm more loose and such.

Great work!

very powerful.

the standing guys upper leg seems to be a bit long, though.

i like the stances. they show movement.
the way the guy holds his shortsword is interesting, too. i just doubt the shape of the blade will be of any serious use. but hey, it's fantasy... sure, it's a magical blade that lets its victim blast in little graphite powder pieces.

earth to earth, paper to paper and graphite powder to graphite powder.

thanks guys
i finished the illustration. I changed a few things such as the upper leg length and such. the finished one was done on a separate piece of paper-- Bristol board, using .3mm mech pencil and a little touch up in PS after scan.

i agree with cat! I thought he was in a pool of blood, and if it would have been a slightly more angled we would get more of a creeped out feeling.
Good job:thumbsup:

nice development! Actually I also thought of a pool of blood, or a swamp even.

Tell me, is that dude immortal?
looks like he should be dead by now, with an arrow through his chest and his leg sliced open.

LoL the bone is showing:D

good job again!

Hey thanks for all of the great feedback on this piece.

Standing in blood would have been cool, but I'm just doing what "the man" wants yano. The deal behind this pic is. The psycho in the middle is our "hero" in some sort of "feel no pain" spell. He is a Snow Elf (new race creatd by Fantasy Flight Games for the new Midnight series). This guy just whacked these dudes and is in the process of making sure they don't get to write home about it (if you know what I mean.)

As far as the technical stuff. The original is a bit lighter and softer than this. This is ready for print pencil. meaning I bumped the levels up so it would look nice in print. I personally like the look of the original better, but it has to be done. There's nothing like looking at the real stuff. I kind of pigeonholed myself into this pencil only gig. So I have been forced lately to make sure my pencil stuff is as tight and as exquisite as i can muster. And you guys have been a great help in that. Lots of studying Leo D's stuff and other old masters' stuff.

Thanks guys.

oh yeah Dragon, it's m ( for Mitch) and Cotie (last name); "mcotie" is how i sign my work. So the answer to your question (after babbling needlessly) is pronounced Em ko tee.

Nice drawing!!!!!! I really like the attention to anatomy, it especially stands out in the elf's arm. That arrow sure does not look to comfy.
