My school just got a couple wacom tablets, and I love them! They're my new favorite thing. I don't have one at home (but I did this (http://www.adventuredog.net/images/wolf.jpg) with a mouse a while ago.)

Anyway, onto the image, eh?

Its good there isnt really much to say, i think its all too soft, u need to sharpen it up in areas by raising the opacity of the brush for bits. It looks good thou its just im a big fan of more saturated colours :) u should bring out the colours brighten them up.

it's a stylized rendering of a tiger profile on a gray background, what more do you want to hear? how many brushes does the program have anyway?

well, thank you for pointing that out, I had no idea. :roll eyes: I guess I figured that comments and crits were implied on a forum like this.

And it's an old version of photoshop at school, it pretty much has one brush since the rough brushes are ugly. I don't have a tablet at home.

Keep going!! just keep drawing and abuse that wacom tablet. You will improve every day you use it as long as you are drawing at least once every day. Next time try using a broader range of brush strokes. In my opinion, pick a brush of your choice and try to get good with it. I know when I first used photoshop for the first time I was playing with all the brushes trying to find an easy way to get effects. DON'T do that. There is no easy way that does not look somewhat "TOO" digital. Well just keep at it and you'll suprise yourself. --jm

oh, I know all about Photoshop, I've been using it since I was nine or ten (I'm now 17, almost), but the uses for the tablet are amazing! I'm hoping to get one for my b-day so I can use it with Photoshop 7, and all it's tablet advances.
so, yeah, I usually just stick to the plain ol' round brushes except when I'm doing textures for 3D.

Out of curiousity, what do you mean by a "broader range of brushstrokes"?

Thanks for the encouragement!

When I said "broader range of brushes" I mean small brushes contrasted with big brush strokes. all your brushstrokes are really small. A mixture of large, medium and small brushstrokes will give the image more life. I'm not saying to go totally impressionistic on me but look at John Singer Sargeant. He has a very realistic style but he uses a broad range of expressive strokes to help bring his art to life. Oh and I forgot to mention it before but its looking great!! Are you planning to go to art school? j murchie

ah, thanks for the tip, I'll keep that in mind.

I am planning to go to art school. I want to go Ringling (I want to be a 3D animator).
