Anybody buy it/play it? I picked it up the other day. GT4= teh HaRd. It is really damn fun though. The physics engine is superb. Definately a little overwhelming as there is so much to do. I just hate starting all the GT games as you have to start with shitty slow cars and gradually build up credits. I want a M3 dammit!. Thoughts?

It's so rewarding when you get a nice car ...
I'm still working something up to get a Rally car, once I do I can clean house.
I really really really want that 900 degree Logiteck wheel : I

I hear ya man. Once you get a nice car its cool to start winning the bigger races and start loading up on the cooler cars. It just takes awhile. meh.

the physics is awesome...definately different from GT3. Pretty tough. My main beef with the game is the autosave. After busting my butt getting all golds in B license I went to the garage to check out the cars I won. The game hung during autosave and corrupted the savegame. Had to start from scratch.

It's at times like those that I like to turn to my good friend, the wall. We play a little game of catch with the controller, which is always fun, but somehow I always end up getting hurt.
Great game with such realism that it's hard not to become addicted. I was thouroughly disappointed at Need for Speed underground 2 that this was refreshing. Unfortunately, GT4 is about to be eclipsed by Devil May Cry 3 in my console...

I can't wait to get my hands on Gt4. The third one is a good reason to get a gameshark. You can input codes to get cars that aren't available at any point during the game. Like racing lamborghinis, and a very, very fast Ford gt40 thats all chrome. I assume the same will probably be true for GT4, but I don't know for sure.

For those of you with credit troubles, there is a bit of a trick (or exploit) I found in the game. Some might consider this illegal (for example, my roomate who never sells any car he wins), but its in the game so I use it. The second "Special Condition Race" at Capri nets you a $265,000 car you can win, and sell, over and over again. You don't need a special car or tires to run the race, and you don't need over an "A" license to get into it. Its a cheap trick, but in my defense I didn't start using it a lot until my 1st game save got corrupted. Anyone hear about a glitch concerning a Subaru STI as your first car?
Happy driving.

The oversteer feels alot more realistic than it did in previous GT`s...turn the oversteer control and traction control off and you suddenly turn into a pissed
off sidewinder missle everytime you try to pull off a pro drift..heh..
Drifting/counter steering felt more predictable in GT3,GT4 is alot more tricky, specially wit the OSC and Tcontrol off.....also tire wear feature is noticably different aswell, youll wanna nurse those rubbers this time around...
I wish the shelby GT500 was on there instead of the stinkypoo GT350,and the Dodge Challenger i was hoping would show up too...other than that, youll b missing out if you dont buy it.. :yayca:

i picked this up a day or two since it was released and it's been my primary time-thief ever since.
I wasn't aware of any bugs in the auto-save, but I think I'll be turning it off now...
a big kick for me was being able to buy the '89 mitsubishi galant vr-4 at the start of the game. besides being perfectly suited to the dirt rallies with little more than basic drivetrain mods, the first car I owned was a 91 galant with the weak little 8valve engine and auto trans. for every one of the 70K miles I drove it, I wished it was a vr-4 :D
definitely definitely sell any race cars you win, they're worth tons of money and you won't pick up any A-spec points with them.
