I think this game looks spectacular so far. I really liked the third part and the screenshots look SO delicious.

When is it going to be released? Morrowing was great so I'm pretty amped to try this out. I'd like maybe a little more direction in terms of storyline I think, though... I get way off track with so much freedom and end up forgetting what the game is about.

I'm excited. At first I hated Morrowind because I had no clue what to do, it was as if i was just dumped in the middle of the forest and told to do whatever you want. However as I got the hang of it, the game was spectacular and was big enough to have me playing it for a couple months.

This looks very impressive.

Another fan here. I Löv it!

Dumped in the forest? Which Morrowind did you play? You're a released prisoner, and you're mission is clearly stated; deliver the papers.

..but you can do what the hell you want to do instead :)

The forth installment makes me drewl. I enjoy seeing more normal animals also, which could only be found in the Norse add-on previously. The creature designs are nice ofcourse, but I for one love more traditional enviroments. The bleak harsch world of Morrowind, with their almost shell-like creations are sweet, but tiresome in the end.

If only there was a linux version. I loved Daggerfall, and Morrowind (Until I switched from Windows.)

yeah the freedom of action has always been a great pro factor of the series and i lurv the grafix..
unfortunately i'll probably have to buy a new pc to play this. and i'll have no time to play it anyway, so... uhm.. :dad:

Man, shame to see what kind of characters they're making with that fabulous technology.

The environments look stunning. Then again, I expected no less after the worldly splendour that was Morrowind (the "cohesiveness" of the whole game world was impressive, and the skies were so beautiful!).
However, Morrowind's character models sucked ass (I worked on replacing some of them for a while, purely because I wanted my character to look good, heh)... fortunately they seem to have overcome this in the sequel - the knight shown in some of the screenshots looks very good, and looks like he fits with the game world too. I hope the level of detail and quality is equal or greater than that across the board, with regard to characters.

The forest environment screenshots are some of the nicest I've seen.

My only concern is the abuse of the "bloom" pixel shader, it's applied to everything, and while can make for an interesting graphical style, I often find it's overused. It probably won't be that intrusive in the game though. The lighting in a few of the screenshots I've seen also looks a little blown out (too bright) on the highlights, I think this might be due to the "bloom" shader.

Ah well, hopefully the story and depth of the game will equal, or even surpass Morrowind - then I will be truly happy!

I anxiously await August.....

I was sketching ideas for my Creature of the Week entry last night and one of my drawings looked exactly like that guy! Check out the last entry in my sketchbook (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showpost.php?p=418387&postcount=23). In the end he turned out a little different (a more gorilla-like body and fur) but at one point he looked almost exactly like the creature in that screenshot. Man, I really need to be more original. Or at least rip off something cooler than the stupid-looking alligator man.

i'm a morrowind fan,and WOW does that one look good!
how the hell am i supposed to kill someone with such a beautiful face?
http://www.ag.ru/gallery/14028/112518
i mean atleast i guess that at some point i'm gonna have to kill someone so beautifully rendered.
the screens look like out of a rendered movie or like some myst game...only that it's better.
hopefully they make it interesting storywise also.the last one was great but didn't keep my attention when it came to the main storyline.
but ahhh that is great to look at.i think i'll buy it.

Ahh nice find :) I love morrowind and its not like i will stop in the near future :D

But i have a question= Are the above links, links to illegal content ? because i got myself warned by the mods at the official german morrowind forum for sharing the links and the mod claims that the links lead to illegal screenshots not officially given free by bethesda to the internet comunitys....(please say that they are legal so i can kick this newbie of a moderator in his arse...has as half postcounts as myself and got his mod-status just for arsepatting the admin but dares to call me a "data-thief" -_- stupid 15 yr old -_-)

Well, I've seen a few of those screenshots on the link there, in PCGamer magazine, so at least some of them aren't illegal, if any of them are...

I'm so glad the characters look good this time round. Although they probably shouldn't take screenshots that close up, it shows up the pixellation of the bump map... but it should look great from a further distance.

the games name is = The Elder Scrolls 3..the subtitle is Morrowind...not Morrowind 3...Elder Scrolls...so its called The Elder Scrolls 4 okey ;) :)

Morrowind is just one of the districts of the Imerium called Tamriel. Tamriel is part of the world of Nirn. TES4 Oblivion plays on Cyrodiil...Capital of Tamriel...so Morrowind4 wont make much sense because there are hundrets of miles between this two districts ;) for further information you should visit one of the many Fanpages ...some of them contain a big amount of Information about the world of Nirn...some of them even more than the official elder-scrolls site ;)

LOL you got technical on me....it's all good, like most games I didn't really finish it to fully understand the whole storyline, i really liked the free roaming, where I pretty much ended up trying to loot and kill guards most of the time.

THese are legal press release pictures. I saw them firsthand from a staff at Beth Soft on the gaming community I hang out with.

Sok, its a little confusing at first :D But you'll get used to it. ;)

For some of you that didn't know, this game is gonna come out for the nex-gen systems also. This is one game i'm prolly gonna get if i get a ps3 (sorry xbox fans) ! anyway i've never played any elder scrolls, but i know it got real good ratings, so i'mma get this one. havent played a good rpg in a while, and the japanese rpg's seem to be getting stale. actually...to me it seems like all japanese rpg's sucked after i beat ff7 (teh b3st!) :rendered:

japanese RPGs do suck, they are never that innovative or there isn't anything new in them, it's just the same damn repeptive grinding game wiht a different story each title, it's so lame and cliche'.
