do a lot of contour drawing, and draw through objects, instead of stopping at where lines intersect..

Relating to your thread name "a bit too sketchy"
i just can ask you: what do you want get in 1 min?
A super rendered finished piece? :er:

No, i think that sketch i quite accurate in perspective
for the line work, if you want to get it smooth you probably have to work with a pencil first doing the sketch very softly, then you can do it with marker.... (it is a real sketch isnīt it?)
(i think you are not able to draw the ellipses correctly at once so i would suggested you to do it this way... well i am not)

nevetheless it is all a matter of training...
