Just line today, I don't think it even needs shading, but maybe that's just because I'm afraid I'll over do it on the shading. Either way, I'd like to know what some of you think... :)

Looks good to me. the proportions look good (something I often mess up on), the line is quite clean and supple. the face especially has some interesting, subtle expression. the right foot looks a little small, and maybe the head as well, but over all it's quite nice.
keep up the good work!

Very nice line work, especially the hands. Those are excellent. I'd have to agree with Brutillus's comments though. The foot seems a bit small. Don't worry too much about the shading. I used to dread doing it. I always thought I would mess up a piece. I eventually got over that. You just have to darken it a little at a time. If it doesn't work you can always erase.

Thanks! I agree about the foot now that I look at it again.
Also I like your quote, very thought provoking!

The comment are much apprieciated!
About shading, I ussualy shade and enjoy it. It's not like I'm scared to do it in general, it's just this piece I didn't feel the shading would make it better/stronger. Thx again!

You've got a point there. Just a opinion, do whatever you feel is right for your drawing. ;)

I know it's just an opinion, it's a good one at that. I think I jumped on you a little and got deffensive. I hate when I do that! But I agree 100% about slowly building up shading, it's less imtimidating that way.
