first post ever in here. blown away by all that i have seen here. nice to see that traditional art can coexist with the new digital art. and i love seening sketches!! you guys have inspired my to pick up my pncil again and start to draw. i will hook up a scanner sometime and post my sketches. these pics are early work from like 2 years ago, with the exception of the shaolin monk. he's recent, just practicing in painter, trying to get the hang of that program. it's from a post on another art board, but i can't remember the name of the site, they had some reference pics post and everyone posts what they came up with. anyway please please comments and crits please!! i can tell you since visiting here i;ve already gotten better truly an inspirational site. thanks!

that was a 5-10 minute self portrait btw... i'm not too happy with it, but i'm not complaining for my first try. thanks

i stopped drawing seriously after these were done. the shaolin monk is my comback piece.... it's not finished and it needs a lot of work, i'm waiting on my tableet so i can "draw" in some details. the ouse is pretty hard to work with. but yeah it's been about 2 years since i put down a pencil, once i get my scanner hooked up i'll post some of my new sketches and after i get this tablet i'll post some more digital art. thanks

I think its rather good drawing as much different styles als possible.
So, you did one anatomy study, a quite dynamic pic and a detailed portrait.
If you ever draw like this, youll permanentely approach to fine composed, rendered and whatever picture in future.
Maybe... ;)

Just adding a little input, dont take it to heart. Your work is pretty close to my own as far as "stages of development". Your work will evolve only if you are commited to it, and draw every day. I've been drawing my hands lately, whenever i can, I'd post some, but I'm not allowed to attatch images, probably because I'm a "noob". Your biggest weakness is your lack of composition, and not looking at the final image as a whole. The character in the action pose could use a background, etc. Think about pictorial space, and how much information you can translate through different components like objects, buildings, and perspective.
