AvP-the games

to me, AvP2 is the best fps out there. i've never had a game with such a high replay factor. the cinematics are great,the story is superb,and all the different viewpoints(alien/pred/human) are most highly entertaining. the human campaign is/was the scariest shit i've experienced in a looong time.
also,if you try multiplayer,you will have neverending fun. "survivor" is just one of the best mp modes i've ever stumbled across.

just to cheer up the avp fans after probably having seen the film. to remind you what it should really be like.

can't say too much on the first part,because i haven't played it that often yet.

so,rant about those two games,what you find good,what you find bad,and how much better they are than the movie.:)

I have fond memories of the first one. It's probably in my 5 best game experience so far. The best was the Alien single player part (Especially when you're on the ceiling of that huge room and you see puny hu-mans looking around and then panicking as you hiss.
BUT the most memorable was multiplayer on .. what was the name of that network again... Mplayer ? Anyway if you got around having a fun group to play with, it can be AWESOME. We tried team deatchmatch with 2 Aliens VS 6 or 10 Marines. Best game ever, from everyone's point of view. I got to play Marines first and then Alien.... it feels just like in the movie and you can FEEL the adrenaline pumping. Especially when all the lights are out.. :\ :S :$ :blah: :eyeloss: :dead:

AvP2 is one of my favorit games, we still play it at every LAN.
It's a favorit.

There isn't a much scarier fps game in multi.
I still get freakt out when a facehugger jumps at you from nowhere. (don't remember if there's only facehuggers in the expansion)

Well anyway, I think they should make a new one, better graphic.
I thought this game was made to early, but they pulled it through anyway.

Never played AVP2, but I played the first one endlesly. That was some solid multiplay. Loved how aliens had acces to ventilation shafts and could just pop out of nowhere. It was great, I tried loading up mplayer few months ago, but, to no surprise, it's nolonger around. It didn't look half bad either for that time.

I remember the days when i had Avp on my comp, all the expansion all the goodies you could get, had a folder with 2 gigabytes of skins and shit.


aaaah, the days, the days when i was on long gone avpnews.com and got all the news i needed for avp all the goodies and watched the home made predator movie from a couple of guys called Sboob entertainment or something like it.

I remember when i Loaded the grenades into my pulsrifle and shot one round to see how limbs, blood and gore from aliens fly around with the wonderfull colors of a polygon explosion, i remember the first skirmish in the alien hive, the first time i survived 23 minutes with a marine.

i didn't find the expansion that good. i think it was a bit of a money grab?

having said that, AvP is one of the best FPS franchises around IMO, and almost certainly one of the few games that took an existing franchise(s) and actually ended up being a good game.

We used to run it through the school network. Now they've tighten up security so it's impossible. What a shame.. We used to run Alien lifecycle, but with one extra Marine so it's hard to get fullgrown. But the wonder of face-raping your fellow comrades is simply beaut!
