Your work is hot Jason! Nice interplay between the two figures...I guess the chick is "charmed" or something - I doubt he would be her type. =) One minor thing I spotted is the snake guy in the back looks like he's part of the column.
Nice work, I always look forward to seeing new stuff from you.

kool pic man it reminds me of the famous conan bad guy...
the only thing that bugs me a lil is the other serpent guy in the background it blends in with the pilliar. even still this is bad ass.

good work,but some crits:
the hand with the sword looks abit flat,i guess because there's no shadow to seperate it properly from the leg.
i'd use some more colour variation-atm we have mainly brown, blue and some pale green. and all of those are too similar to each other-most of all all the blue.
why is the sword darker in one area? what creates that shadow? i'd make it abit brighter to seperate it from the bg more.
other than that good work, i love the design of the serpent armor.

Jason, you keep bringing the sickness. I usually rotate between my own pieces for my desktop (so I can never stop critiqueing), but I had to bump my stuff for your machine-flesh piece a while back, and then again more recently for your undersea romance piece...Keep it up!

i hate it. it made the rest of the stuff in our class look so bad.. haha
seeing it on the screen now, i think the tail in the foreground seems a bit rough and unfinished compared to the rest, its your choice whether or not to polish it, but since the sword points to it, i keep wanting to look at it..
cant wait to see what you bring to class today..

Hello Jason, great work you got there. I love the shading on her knee cap that's facing the viewer. The rendering is real simple and effective. You got some complimentary colors going on but I think you can push the color range more. I think the blue is too dominant and almost makes it a monochromatic color scheme, which is fine too, but adding subtle shifts in hue would probably take this piece to the next level.
A little off topic:
I loved the octopus man + mermaid chick painting dude. I see you go to the Academy here. I go to art school in SF too, we should totally hook up sometime. I always want to meet motivated kids in the area outside my school.

really great illustration.
i have no crits, except for there seems to be nothing sci-fi about it (i'm just being an ass - it's good)
