Hej people,
just learned how to make the picture show right in the message, so i'll give it try! Yes I am very much a new to this forum stuff...

Anyway, I used a refence picture, for this one even if the girl wasn't this thin. After some streching and pulling in Photoshop, I did a complete paint over with my Wacom.

Tell me what you think,
Roberto

Whoa! nice pose! a few problems though. It lacks depth and roundness. The ladies torso (and hair)don't really look round, i mean it kinda does, but needs they still need some work. I can't tell if what she's grabbing on to is a sword or a pole that is really thick and becomes really thin as it goes farther away from us. It looks like a pole with the handle of a sword. Another thing she either has the best balance in the world, or those skulls are really heavy. The reason why I say this is cuz the center of gravity is off. If your imagine a line from the pit of the neck run all the way down would it touch her feet, or actually land between her feet? nope...she lacks balance.

The skulls seem to be closer to us than the girl(just a bit), but the hand that holds them is farther away. Kinda throws it off.

Sorry for being so harsh.....but I do that when I see something wrong in the pic, but still see some potential in it. I've seen paintings done in a similar style to this and maybe u intended it to be this way. But those were just my opinions... Hope I helped!:)

Iwasink that's what I call a reply!
I am really going to like hanging around here.
First of all she is holding on a samurai sword, at least I think.
I had allready seen some of the stuff you pointed out, and I suspected her pose would be a bit to extreme, still I wanted her to be rather streched.
Also I spent a lot of time with the skulls proportions, and at the time (a couple of months ago) they felt right, but now I can see what you mean.
In your post you mentioned other people who paint with a style similar style, who are they? I can't see my own style, I just do the stuff, and it would be very helpfull to see how other people percive my work.
You are stern but fair...
