:( I don't really know how to draw from memory. I'm ok at drawing people and objects with a pencil. However, when it comes to drawing from memory I can't figure out how to do it.

I really would like to learn how to draw from memory though. That way, i could draw the beautiful women i see in my life and i wouldn't have to ask them to hold still in time as they pass me by so that i could draw them. :bashful:

Wow, ok i read the sticky. That thing is seriously unorganized.
It's be really nice if someone could make a proper tutorial out of it.

And hey, make it a wikibook!! wikibooks.com ;) lol i should stop posting that stuff. But seriously, where are some good sources to get chronologically detailed information that teaches me anatomy while drawing?

Take a look at this tutorial on body drawing (http://www.deviantart.com/view/15014442/) at deviantart. I think that might help you with the basic concepts for drawing human figures from your memory/mind.

I would say though, that it seems even the seasoned pro's on here often use a reference when they draw things. So, I would say most likely the things that make those girls beautiful won't be captured in basic anatomy, rather, it is the unique derivations in anatomy that make them beautiful. At least thats the way it is with most "beautiful" people that I know of. So try to get a digital shot of them before they start running away!

Check out "Figure Drawing Without a Model" by Ron Tiner. It's available for a good price at overstock.com (http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?cid=48422&PAGE=PRODUCT&PROD_ID=488564&fp=F).

Loomis is good, you can download his books here (http://www.saveloomis.org/)

Start a (daily or not so daily) sketchbook here (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=41) if you'd like ... you'll get some more feedback there if you keep it up.

Good luck !
