I've been playing for 4 days now....and almost at the end of it (for the first time).

This time its even more fun. Well...not as wide and free as Fallout was (nor will many RPGs ever be) but it had a lot of little secrets to discover. Like you can actually influence some of your squadmates and convert them into Jedi. Which is amazing.....and fun....not to mention there's more lightsaber upgrading to do! LOL. I absolutely love lightsaber upgrading.

Anyway the storyline itself is a little more far fetched this time around but its still good and though its a little more predictable in this one. The original KOTOR which I enjoyed immensely, had one big surprise.....this one though reveals too much throughout the story and as I near the end of the game, the impact isn't so big.

Anyway playing as male or female characters will unlock different squadmates through the game. Lightside and Darkside players also have different flow of story, and a couple of other characters to recruit. Your influence will push or pull the light/dark side characters in your party towards or away from you. I'm definitely playing again after I finished this one......

Its a tad buggy...but otherwise its a solid package.

since yuo mentioned it being free roaming, it isn't..even though it may feel like it, play morrowind and experience total freedom. don't forget the next installment of the elder scrolls series...oblivion is coming...
i've played KOTOR and it was good, but not much replay value.
it's good for playing once and then what else?

Yep, I played Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon. The only issue with them is too much freedom. You have so much fun and get lost in the sidequests, your personal quests and a whole slew of other stuff. Fallout is even more free in that sense, too many times I just wanted bigger guns to kill bigger monsters.

As far as RPGs go, Morrowind has quite possibily the inventory system that allows the most freedom, KOTOR2 comes close....the inventory system is different from the first one.

And if you've only played KOTOR once, I don't think you can just write it off as unreplayable. I've played KOTOR 3 times (in a month) and Morrowind (and its expansions) about 5 times (too much time)....I don't even want to mention how long Fallout and Fallout2 was on my HDD.

PS: I consider myself an FPS gamer.....hardly any RPGs were worth my time.

i also like morrow wind for it's first person view along wiht the third person view, it was cool how you could switch back and forth. i hope the next one (oblivion) is going to be much better...since morrowind was very buggy and it lagged. loading ever small square mile after every other square mile of the world of morrowind...the battle system needed work. i hope they fix the battle system.

so far, i just got MoH:Pacific assualt...it was, OK. i feel like i wasted my money...so i'm gonna take it back soon. i'm wating for Pariah, it looks like a good FPS. oh , also...when will crytek release another FPS!? god, farcry was so good! i love that game more than HL2! another game i'm waiting for is "brothers in arms" that looks very good. i'm wating for some more god RPGs from bioware based on the D&D campaigns...when will baldurs gate 3 come out?
