If you've noticed in the themed speed painting thread, I've been trying to improve on my digital painting. I'm not too experienced, however, I've spent at least one hour a day for the last week with a wacom and photoshop, and I'm gonna continue to due so. Here's a new one. I would have put it in the speed painting, but I spent about 2 hours on it. All crits welcome, so I can get better.

Hey, that's pretty good! I prefer the top one, the bottom one looks too washed out. Nice job on how you made the light from the eyes reflect off of the rest of the body.

F.... the filters :D

No, really, i think you just tapped into the "got-a-fresh-look-after-using-a-filter-because-you-looked-too-long-at-your-origin-painting-but-actually-it's-not-better"-trap

thanks,

I think you're right fozzybar.
The filter is film grain.
I had to delete the other to make room for another drawing.

it looks pretty good at the moment...but it needs more contrast i think. Some black areas will help to pop out the image.
Keep it up
