where ar the local art stores around here. i just moved in and i have no clue where to do to get supplies. i heard theres a pearl arround here but where i dunno. any info would be appreciated

If you're going to Watts, there's a Rhino art supply, just down the road (Encinitas Blvd) from the school, to the west just beyond Highway 101, if I recall. Shoot a PM to Jetpack, he can probably tell you if there's something better around, or just ask someone at the school. I'm in florida these days, so best not to take my word for it.

There's also the 'Art Store' shop in Little Italy close to downtown. (It's off India street). There's also another art store, I don't remember the name, but you can see it off the highway near the Washington exit.

Intern- Like seraphsword said, theres rhino art down the street from the school. Like 5 minutes away(by car). Although convenience comes at a premium, as rhino prices suck ass. Once you get settled in, I would consider dick blick for your art supply needs as they are considerably cheaper than any of the stores we got over hear.
