Thats pretty good (good pose and good background), but somehow his left arm looses its distance. And another thing that bothers me is the way he is resting his arms on the (obviously) sharp blade, would be nice to give him some hardcore gloves or even better would be wraped sword. and the rest is done nicely.
Cheers.

also, he doesnt seem to be standing on the ground, maybe make his shadow darker?

- the lighting in the back is really sharp as it moves down and hits the area where the crowd begins. i would use a softer brush to set some depth between the two...else it looks like the lighting just stops right on top of the audience or the audience was just cut and paste on top of it
- the clouds look really nice where the lightning generates, but the other clouds look really rushed and i can make out the photoshop brushes. try lowering the opacity and using more strokes to render out the clouds more. try going from dark to light.
- the folds in his boots don't really make sense. it's more as if there's wires under the ankles rather than fabric being stretched and compressed.
good show with taking time with the audience. put the same kind of love for the rest of the pic as a whole and you'll be set.

Hey thanks for all your feedback and your help! :confident
The pic was made completely without reference. The many faces where done relatively quick... with a close look you can see that this are all very quick 'sketches'. I had to hurry up things on this pic because there was a very hard deadline for this cover.
I appreciate your help and I will get out some more 'finished' stuff when I have more time to draw and color the next one.

well i have some crits.
the worst thing is the red reflections from the sword onto his clothes. they look like blood.
also the shadow from him needs to be darker, and it seems that there is water falling only on his sword. there are no water drops on his head or clothes or anything

Hmm. I really like the tone of blue on the crowd. Eerie! :)
