Ok, so I made an announcement at the workshops that there will be videos for sale soon. That is, I am doing a series of art videos, that will give you what you need to basically self teach yourself to be an illustrator, fine art painter or concept artist.
The video series's are large. That is, in the next 5 years we plan on releasing at least 45 videos. Covering every subject, and then some on the tools and tricks an artist needs to know, period. The rest is up to you.
This is a temp cover for the first video due out next month sometime, we are still sound editing, and I am still undecided on the packaging. THis is just a placeholder cover until I know for sure what to do. The video may end up released as far out as April, but right after, the videos come out at least 2 a month if we can keep our editor happy...heh
The website will be up next month with order info, and lots of other surprises...
I dont normally plug, but I think this one is important, as I know you all cant get out to the Watts school, but I know you want to learn this stuff, and learn it right. The videos will give you a chance at this now...you dont get critiques daily, but you get hard fact info.
And for only $29 each, if we can keep the price at this price point, that is, if the effects rendering etc. doesnt chew up a budget we need to make up for in the price that is...pray for cheaper good editing...heh

Sweeeeeeeet! I have been hoping for something like this. Will the series include oil painting, color, and composition? Is it based on the Watts progression or is this strictly your project? I wish there were more of this type of stuff available(good teaching from people with awesome ability and not just big names showing off). I'll start saving my lunch money now. Your tutorials have all been a huge help so I am sure your videos will be just as good.

DVD's, sorry, cant think of good titles. The dvd has a long demonstration, a short demo, and at least 10 supplements per DVD that involve technical issues, that is, edges, line quality, tonal design, how to sit, sharpen your pencil up, etc. Basics to advanced stuff like how a fold works, the elements of composition, , color theory, perspective, etc.

f-f-f-fourty five?! This is going to take a chunk out of the budget but hell, finally we can get some serious traditional training. Actually will you be incorporating any of your digital training as well? has quite a big selection but you're style still brings something new to the table. . . and you introduced me to digital art so to finally I might know how you do them so well so fast! (if you decide to do them) . . . .or I could just keep pushing pixels around hoping for a happy accident ;)
Anyway, this is great news! I'll. . . .try. . . to patiently wait for 2 months.

and you got the first dvd finished, but you know there are no stupid questions :er:
Anyway being in scandinavia across the ocean :)
Will there be shipping overseas? whats the extra cost for shipping? and how
will payment be done paypal? Cause I never use cards on the net and the
usual way I pay over the net wont work since you're in USA
