Here is a piece I struggled with. I realize that the armor isn't very practical but I tried to make the design interesting. It was quite a learning experience. Thanks to jezelf, Fipse, and davi for some extremely useful reference links. I hope to incorporate more realistic elements in future designs.

Nice.
Give the guy a disk launcher and he wouldnt look out of place as a member of Diamond Sword from Starsiege Tribes.

Nice drawing!
the pose is a little bothersome though- it looks to me like he's about to fall over.
The armor is amazing- I want to see more of that!

sarath- I drew with pencil and then colored in photoshop.
Litium & Mr.Magnetichead- Thanks. I tried to make the design unique. Hopefully I will push it further in the next one.
Frosty- Thanks, I see what you are talking about regarding the weight balance. I need to bring his right foot forward and arch his back slightly. Should be an easy fix in Photoshop.
Thanks guys!

MessFX - You're very welcome. glad to hear the links were of help. Ive been thinking about doing some armour stuff myself of late.
I would like to see what you've done - shame that all I see is a red X right now :( sounds good though! :)
I'll pop by again tomorrow and see if my browser wants to show it.
best wishes
