Not bad , I like the concept. I don't like the background-colors you use.

Beautiful. The coloring reminds me of that manga flick "spirited away"... Have to agree with 2cool on the background part :(

I really hope that by PPS you don't mean Paint Shop Pro...Photoshop is far superior.
Anyways, nice sketch, I really like the way the the coloring was done with all the little blotches of color.
I have to disagree with 2cool and HB, though, I think that the background goes well with the character, but a lighter brown would of been nice.
In PS, though, the background can be removed (I'd do it this way, at least) by outlinin the chararcter (works expecially good with the black outlining) with the pen tool/freehand marquee tool and sticking it on a seperate layer (cut/paste) to work with.

Not a bad pic. You´ll need some consequences on the concept however.
The plates covering shoulder and arms and part foot: Are they some form of dermal armour or attached to the skin and if so how? and what for anyway?
Are the blue pearls on the side of the head eyes?
I like the paralell of horn, bone like armour with the fishy, soft skin. But it doesn´t go together. I mean, it´s not working in the sketch.
About how to remove yer backgrounf with PS7.
There are lots of different ways. I prefer to switch to mask mode.
( press Q)
Select a brush of your liking. With a bit of a soft edge.
Then apply the masking color on wherever the figure isn´t.
( you can mask the figure if you like but that you´ll have to invert the selection after)
When finished, press Q again to switch back to normal mode. You should see the marching ants (selection) then.
I recommand to save the selection.
( Selection/ save selection)
Generate a new layer and fill the selection with any color or gradient or background you want. Or you could simply erase the background in the original layer.
Hope this helps.
Carry on.

thanks bbwolf for your comments. the plates on her back/arms/feet were ment to be chitin(bone)plates, kinda like a crab's armor. the "pearls" on the side of her head are eyes, but i guess they didnt turn out that well. i was goin for a soft look for her skin with hard armor protection. i know that some people say that that amount of armor isnt good enough, but i think its got a sexy quality to it. thanks for the tips on ps

Hi pazshadow,
It looks like you are spamming the web(in a good way) with this image, I've seen it in a few forums and linked elsewhere.
